Aurélien Malta is held for 13 years for murder. He has one year remaining. A young woman, through an association that works on the resettlement, he makes visits recently. Her name is Anne. Aurelian begins writing him letters. Jean-François CHABAS composed by a story very well written in a simple and straightforward, without effects of style, no frills. Writing Aurelian is linked to its temperament, its history, its confinement: it is simple and powerful. With great modesty, Aurelian shares his thoughts and his heart to Anne, who will not read those letters. It is slowly returning to what he was, what he did, what led him there.
Actually, I wonder: why publish this book in youth collection? Here there is no small facilities or compromise language, psychology, polysemy found too often in youth department. In reality, this book is deeply respected because he has shaken the literature "adult" by the quality of writing and the sincerity of the story and the one who tells it.
Hat low.
