Rook Piercing Problems Infections

LOLA

LOLA Claire Mazard story is lighter than the previous , although again the letter used to make a confession and analysis.

Lola saw recently with his mother and stepfather Michael. It must constantly keep Jerome, his younger half-brother who annoys the highest point. One day she finds an anonymous letter it is intended. A guy tells his life and to witness, and he seems to know. The letter listing those that will follow ...

Lola and Mehdi leading the investigation, day after day by discovering new letters, which tell who was the man who wrote them. A curious story of family gone awry due to a tiny underground hate evil ... Lola draws a lesson.

This unilateral correspondence, I keep a souvenir rather indifferent. Nothing in writing or in the characterization of the characters will only set this story in the anthology of epistolary genre.

Pokemon Soul Silver Online Play For Free

Me, Delphine, 13 years ...

Yes, the title of this novel recalls the famous Moi, Christiane F., 13 years ... Brigitte PRESKINE but obviously is limited to pay tribute to him here and made a story less violent.

is the story of Delphine, who has been placed with her sister Elodie, 10, and brother Steve in a village of children, by court order. There, a "mother", Camille, supports them professionally. When she recovered her days off, it's Paulette, home help, who takes over with the means at hand ... The idea is to bring the siblings after the real mother Delphine, an alcoholic, was found unfit to care for her children. Except that the sibling is not yet Full: Franck, 14, and Miriam, who has been born, have yet to reach the village.

All this makes the world! In the village there are only children with funny family pathways. Social cases as they say. Delphine, on arrival, escaped by writing to Audrey, a vague knowledge of the college she attended the previous year, in Vitry. Audrey has always openly ignored in the past but no matter: Delphine needs to write to someone.

The author knows his subject and the story suffers positively: village life is filled, the profiles of teens and adults are credible. Unfortunately also, for adults ...

Finally, engaging in regular letters, Delphine arrives to accept her new life. It changes even think about Camille is someone who frequents museums and loves beautiful things, it can not be bad either deal with them only out of interest. Delphine also watch his own mother in a different light, more distant but more human. She realizes she can not judge everything or everyone in an instant.

Gradually, Delphine (be) built. But it does not yet know who is Audrey ...

Cooking Frozen Sausages

Address Unknown

Kathrine Kressman TAYLOR (1903-1997) was an American, born into a family of German origin. In the 1930s, it is extremely lucid vis-à-vis the rise of Nazism in Germany. She then imagines this epistolary narrative.

HISTORY: Two friends art collectors are responsible for a gallery in San Francisco. They are of German origin, who fled Europe after the trauma of the First World War. One of the two, Martin sets off for home, the other, Max, is in San Francisco. This is the starting point of their letters. Martin opened a gallery Munich. After the finding of poverty and extreme humility which saw the German population, it is quickly fascinated by the character of Adolf Hitler, who just appeared on the political scene. It becomes part of the Nazi party. Max distance, ask for explanations to Martin: he does not understand how her friend can go astray with people who despise modernism and humanist culture, people who are trying to organize the elimination of Jews.

Not more than thirty letters about sixty pages, but writing Kressman Taylor is awfully good. The disarray of Max and the cold harshness of Martin require no overflow. In the most tense moment of the plot, cablegram lieu of a letter. More space for prints, the nuances, the cordial exchange between two grown men: let us return to poetry rough trade ... except that it is not very clean, a senior Nazi art trade by degenerate with an American Jew.

Correspondence stops in March 1934. The worst is yet to come, but Reichstag fire has already taken place and night of long knives happens. The last letter to his partner Max Eisenstein Martin Schulse eventually return to him : Address Unknown .

A great little book.

Vitamin C Used As A Hair Color Remover

As the ghost of a jazz musician in the Mir station failed

This is a title that I liked and still like me! As a highly poetic and decidedly not of his time (1) . I actually thought at first to a red herring in the kind of Autumn in Peking by Boris Vian but no: the latest novel by Maurice G. Dantec speaks indeed the ghost of a jazz musician in the station Mir defeated.

And to achieve this feat - I mean to invent a story that sticks to such a title, if indeed that title has appeared before in Dantec's novel, which I think - we can say that the author begins by far. From far away, even: 36 000 Km, the usual distance geostationary satellites that take vis-à-vis the equator.

The two heroes of this book are a couple striking and gently hallucinating. These are indeed two young dissolute deep brain living in a global hysterical ultra-violent sort of projection uchronic our beautiful West. Man is the one that says he's thirty, his accomplice is a beautiful plant and educated athletes 21 years, which meets the sweet name of Karen. The novel opens with the robbery of a post office district in Paris, told by the robber. Results in a lack of chase, so the shot is perfect. Everything gets more complicated as one would expect from the couple on the run, usurping a whole slew of new identities, begins to approach the equator. The whole is bathed in alcohol and cachetons, history remain serious, and everything in the story is ultra and account million , issue of modernity.

Truce mockery here certainly a novel that detonates in the middle of the Franco-French editions usual. The action is punchy and language guts. One feels that Dantec intends to unpack his literary craft. It leads quite inevitably to passages a little childish, but in the event a little girl of verbal abuse which the narrator revels. More annoying: the most visible efforts to be modern frequently lead to great moments of loneliness and old-fashioned narrative aesthetics. So many different references are cited, beginning with the Kill Bill Tarantino from cover, the novel falls several times in an aesthetic sterile in my opinion. Although I agree, for example in the tribute to Albert Ayler (who plays the ghost in the Mir station failed), I always look what Dantec offers his reader once he threw that name and that 'he told us the suspicious circumstances of the death of saxophonist. Ditto for Clockwork Orange, Cassius Clay, the Ray-Ban sunglasses, Carl Perkins, Nelson Mandela and even the Mir space station: all are cited in the novel, but why?

I ended up reading very quickly a good half of the book. It reads like one half asleep zap between several TV programs interrupted by commercials. It occupies undoubtedly brain time available, but assembly hirsute finds no consistency, and if I play sometimes, I do not agree either. For me Dantec's novel seethes, but softly.

(1) To lay an existing title, if you write an essay should be called "The ghost who was a jazz musician," or "Those authors who choose long titles" if a novel, "Metempsychosis the otter" or "The Delusion of the astronaut." For example.

Ford Fiesta 2010 Ipod Connection

(BD) Fly Blues Greeting

ZARATE & SAMPAYO sign here "narrative" designed. They are the ones who call it like this and dedicate, in passing, in memory of large and small jazz trumpeter Kenny Dorham, among other author of an excellent Afro-Cuban .

The action takes place in France, partly in Paris, but the colors are so vibrant it's like in Barcelona in full sun. Flies swirl throughout the volume and trace arabesques in the air, as variations on a theme of Jazz, Blues Fly. They dance, speak to us in voiceover, they communicate with each other; it is they who make history. Conversely, human relations appear poor, violent. The shocking images to replace words, sexual intercourse takes the place of love discourse.

Kenny Meadows is a genius who joined trumpeter Paris by bus to a studio with a young trumpeter in Paris, creator of the theme Fly Blues . On a highway rest area, he crossed no kicking a band of thugs armed with knives and mobile phones. The flies are witnesses, and a young woman who talks to cars.

Major defects in bulk: the narrative is disjointed, probably because it is worn by millions of flies. The comic depicts a gang of young criminals whose actions are ultra-violent, but whose language (and dress codes, sign) ready to smile, wave condensed language of popular stereotypes. The script works by moods and it fits rather well to the "soundtrack" jazz, but what these embryos scattered reflection on our society declining ... when the authors feel compelled to close on a pessimistic 88-page happy ending?

In sum, the volume reads quite well and I find the two or three main characters in another story, another context. By giving as much space to the band of killers, the authors give me the impression of yielding to the temptation of the contemporary. They address a world of violence they have an idea fictionalized, unconvincingly. We do not totally rocking the world of killers, and eventually the good guys always remain safe in their citadel of art and feelings.

Fly Blues is a bit like a conflict of sensations: the bloody sensational bourgeois sensationalism. Each board his shots, and the popular comic strip! All this is good or bad, and maybe it's what I regret.

92 pages in all (the 4-page epilogue is a real happy few)
